Lent is here , and just like last year, we enter again the Lenten season during a difficult time caused by the COVID-19, which has already shaken all fields of life. But no matter how hard the reality we are facing it, we must never give up, but continue believing in God’s love and mercy .
What we are going through during this time of pandemic is not a punishment given by God, as many may have thought . But the reality is that, it is one of the horrible signs of our times, of which we must find the meaning from the perspective of our faith. Now as we begin Lent season, let our focus then be, it is the time to choose what matters and what passes away, its a time to separate what is necessary from what is not. Let our lent season be a time to get our lives back on track with God, and the good news is that, we are not alone, God is walking with us until the end.
Therefore, let us offer all our brokenness, our worries and everything else before the Lord this lent, with confidence and trust that He will grant us His love and peace.
Wishing you a fruitful lent season ahead.
Always in Prayers
Fr. John.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
The Archbishop has allowed us to celebrate Mass publicly again. Thank you, Archbishop!
BUT, There are limitations: 25% capacity in our parish.
For now we will resume our Sunday masses only:
Weekdays masses are on hold for now.
As it was in our first opening; we will continue with wearing masks and keeping social distance during the mass, and sanitize every-time we enter the church. We will celebrate our normal Sunday Mass schedule starting this week (First Sunday of advent).
Things may change rapidly, if the Covid-19 cases continue to rise in our state; so let's not get too used to it. Let's at least be thankful for this present moment and the return to public Masses however long this may last.

Pope Francis on Tuesday announced a special year dedicated to St. Joseph starting from 8 December 2020 until 8 December 2021, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the proclamation of St. Joseph as the Patron of the Universal Church, as well as the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.
The Apostolic Penitentiary also issued a decree granting special indulgences for the duration of the special year to celebrate the anniversary and “to perpetuate the entrustment of the whole Church to the powerful patronage of the Custodian of Jesus.
During this period, the faithful will have the opportunity to commit themselves “with prayer and good works, to obtain, with the help of St. Joseph, head of the heavenly Family of Nazareth, comfort and relief from the serious human and social tribulations that besiege the contemporary world today. St. Joseph pray for us.

THE ANGELUS PRAYER
V. -The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. -And she conceived by the Holy Spirit.
Together: -Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou
among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
V. -Behold, the handmaid of the Lord.
R. -Be it done unto me according to thy word.
Together: -Hail Mary...
V. -And the Word was made Flesh.
(All bow/make the since of the cross...)
R. -And dwelt among us.
Together: -Hail Mary...
V. -Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
R. -That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: (Prayer leader, or: together) Pour forth, we beseech thee, O Lord, thy grace into our hearts; that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ, Thy Son, was made known by the message of an Angel, may by His Passion and Cross, be brought to the glory of His resurrection. Through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AN ACT OF SPIRITUAL COMMUNION by St. Alphonsus de Ligouri, quoted from an article by Patti Armstrong "If You Can't Receive Communion, Make A Spiritual Communion" in the NCRegister, March 10, 2020, edition (cf. www.ncregister.com). This prayer was also given as an example by Pope Francis on March 21:
My Jesus,
I believe that You
are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment
receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
